About the role:

We are looking for someone to join the data analytics team. The role will be to support and work closely with the business teams to develop the firm’s service offering.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Working with the quantitative teams to understand data requirements.
  • Working with business development, finance and legal and compliance teams to build analytical datasets.
  • Developing high throughput near real-time event driven datasets using live trade and market data.
  • Developing solutions that enable the efficient and reliable extraction of insight from all captured market data.
  • Integrate with external APIs to ingest required data (market data, balances, trades, etc).
  • Engaging with other developer teams to onboard them onto the data platform using best practices.
  • Building dashboards using Business Intelligence tools to present the data to the business teams.
  • Maintaining databases that downstream data areas rely on.
  • Participating in product design, implementation, and quality assurance.
  • Recommending improvements to the process both in terms of data collection, data consumption and storage.

Your Qualifications/Attributes will include:

  • 3 to 8 years experience in a related field or role.
  • Must have a passion for data analytics and a strong understanding of order book mechanics and book building methodologies.
  • Strong programming skills: Java.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and modeling relational data.
  • Experience working with REST and WS APIs.
  • Experience in building event driven applications using Kafka.
  • Experience of databases including tick data stores (MySQL, Clickhouse. etc).
  • Experience with AWS or Google Cloud.
  • Experience of Linux, Docker a plus.
  • Experience of a DevOps environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience in the financial services industry, specializing in e-Trading / High Frequency Trading / Derivatives Trading support.
  • Self-starter with fluent communication in written and spoken English.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Looker, Tableau, etc
  • Experience in curating and organizing datasets.
  • Experience in Rust
  • Interest in the cryptocurrency market.
