Happy Friday, yesterday over $100M was raised for AI startups and a new fund. This continues what we have been tracking, that Silicon Valley is getting serious about AI. On the Carta platform for example more than 50% of every dollar invested in AI went to a company in the Bay area. Expect this regional dominance to continue into the new year. Notable Deals: • Deep Apple Therapeutics recently secured a $52 million Series A funding from ATP (Apple Tree Partners). The company specializes in expediting drug discovery using structure-based large library virtual screening and advanced deep learning models. • Distributional, a startup focusing on AI testing and evaluation, raised $11 million in a seed round. The round was led by Sante Health Ventures II LP and saw participation from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, University of California, San Francisco, AIX Ventures, Continuum Health Ventures, and TA Group Holdings .
