Description of issue
I was trying to install postgres@15. At some point, I got an error saying I had to run brew install gcc.
However, when I run it, I get this error:
Error: An exception occurred within a child process:
CompilerSelectionError: autoconf cannot be built with any available compilers.
Install GNU's GCC:
brew install gcc
Which will of course throw the same error.
I know there's no support for MacOS 10.15 Catalina, but before thinking of saving $2000 to buy a new Mac to be able to run a backup of a postgres database, I'd rather ask and hope for someone to kindly shed some light on this.
Thanks a lot beforehand.
