Apple has entered into an agreement with OpenAI to implement artificial intelligence technologies in its iPhone smartphones.

It concerns the use of ChatGPT in the next iOS 18 operating system. Thanks to the agreement with OpenAI, Apple devices will have a chatbot in addition to the AI implementation programme.
The company will announce AI features that will be available in the new model of Apple devices in June at the annual Worldwide Developers Conference.
Apple also held talks with Google about licences for Alphabet's Gemini chatbot. The parties have not yet reached an agreement, but negotiations are still ongoing.
