I wrote a glowing review of my original conversion as it transformed my riding experience. Three or so years later my battery has failed and I am told the expected life of the battery is three years and I need to replace it. However there are no replacements and I must upgrade to the new kit which won't be available until sometime in August. To have the selectable power level option which I have on my existing kit I have to add a new display as well. To be fair I have been offered £100 credit towards the upgrade but having to throw away a battery pack every three years is hardly an eco-friendly business model. I think it is reasonable to expect spare parts to be available for more than a couple of years. I am disappointed.

This company does not deliver as promised. Order pushed out 4 months, pulled back in when I complained only to miss shipment date and push out another month. I wanted to avoid buying a kit from China, but regret that decision. I could have had my kit in a fraction of the time and avoided this headache. Due to the elapsed time I will now struggle to get my money back, which I paid IN ADVANCE for the kit. Feels like a complete scam - avoid at all costs.

I had two questions during the pre buy and assembly, both answered first thing the next day. Great to find a much improved instruction manual - easy to understand and follow, though I have prior experience. Using old assembly with new 'phone' battery and new kit with old 'brick' battery. Not a problem at all with compatibility, just some alterations to spacers for my handlebars. Order to delivery less than a month. Great.

I have been been using swytch on my Bromton since 2021. Easy to install and works very well. Highly recomended.
I did not hesitate to order upgraded smaller and lighter battery for air travel, but unfortunately they no longer ship to Iceland. Hope they will later do that because I think Swytch is the best electric conversion available.

We love our swytch bikes! After a year of researching and trying out different electric bikes this option was by far the best choice being able to choose the exact fit of bike for us individually then getting the kit! We got a local bike repair man to fit the kit for us. We've had the swytch kit bikes for two years and are really happy to have a carbon free alternative rather than our petrol car which we try not to use unless necessary.

Pretty well everything except supporting Australians in a more direct way. I wasn't interested in anything but the first version Front wheel and Battery. I don't have the full bike second version but I did want the new size battery. Unfortunately, my application went up in smoke when I tried to order online. I could not get the order process. Nonetheless, I not been able fault the performance and top of the line engineering of the single wheel first issue and manual.

Ordered 2 swytch kits 3 years ago for my wife and I to fit on our Bromptons delivered as promised fitted easily and have ran perfectly since day one ! I have two other e-bikes with Bosch mid drive and I prefer the swytch kits !

I am very happy with my Swytchbike conversion. I use it daily and it is very reliable. I have the first version with the handlebar mounted battery and also have bought a second battery. I get typically 25 miles on a full charge as there are some hills where I live. I did have a problem where the sensor stopped working but Swytchbike supplied me with new one for £25 as the warranty had expired and that has been working ever since. I would recommend this product.

I just love the fact that I can still have my old bike and it doesn't really feel much heavier. I couldn't manage the weight of the ebikes currently available. So I'm very happy. It was tricky to put it all together - having said that, I'm 64 , female and no experience with this sort of thing! It was a real achievement and I had to walk away a few times and come back to it when fresh- that was at least a month! Yes it did take ages to get it and a little frustrating. I had a bad injury to my ankle and thought I'd never ride again. Switchbike changed all that and I am so grateful.🩵

We use Swytch on our bike rental fleet and have close to 20 bikes converted and are very pleased with the performance and customer service we receive. Our customers enjoy riding regular pedal bikes on mainly flat terrain, but then have the "boost" needed where they feel need the assist.

I happily use the first gen Swytch kit with 7Ah battery on handle bar ,giving me an approx 50 km range on 1 charge on a flat road . Will now extend range with external battery with voltage up-switcher ensuring 42V charging when riding . To date the above battery is holding well
Still happy with the first generation Swytch kit.
No need to get the latest iteration.

I have had my original swytch conversion kit for close on three years. Overall I am very pleased with it an happy to recommend. As this is a long term review I can give an opinion from installation to living on the road with the kit. Installation is straightforward all the appropriate kit is provided feels well made and solid. It comes with good instructions and a help line is available if needed. On the road. Good points battery life is excellent. Power provided is excellent. Not so good. Battery over front handle bars and motor in front wheel does make front end heavy and can be a problem when stationary (I believe newer range has improved this) Sometimes the motor will surge away and can be a little disconcerting. But this is not excessive and I stress not dangerous. Perhaps it is just me getting used to the additional support the battery and motor give over a conventional push bike. The kit breaths new life into my old Scott mountain bike and I am very pleased with it

Had a problem where the base display on the Swtych Bike unit stopped turning on. There was no obvious cause, simply stopped the bike, unplugged the battery, recharged and reconnected and suddenly....not turning on. Mailed Swytch support to see if there was anything that could be done in terms of resets/reboots etc. After going through some troubleshooting, the support team proactively offered to send a replacement base display unit in an attempt to rectify the problem. Unit took only 2days to arrive and <30secs to replace. All up and running (or should that be riding) again! Great service and product. Thanks Swytch support for getting this resolved so quickly and easily.

I converted my older Brompton to electric with Swytch Kit and now I'm using it all the time for my daily commute to work (my poor super light Brompton sits in the garage most of the time). Product is beautifully engineered and fits incredibly well with the Brompton fold, super impressed. I've been using the Swytch for I think nearly a year, it has been very reliable, and the battery remains in good condition. Highly recommended.

My second battery order hadn’t gone smoothly due to a bad actor in customer service. However once a telephone call was requested the problem was resolved. The success of the Swytch Kit has probably put the company under load so some patients is required. The Kit is excellent so hope the company manages to keep up with demand in the future.

Spent the extra money of the larger capacity battery advertised at 30km range. Now although I’ve never rode that far to test it I could get 20km easily out of it. Less than a year later the capacity is shocking less than 10km. And Swytch have not been helpful. Nice idea but the delivery was a nightmare and less than a year I wish I’d not bothered. Disappointing

I love my Swytch! This system was fairly simple to set up - issues I did have were resolved quickly by the highly responsive customer service team and I was on my way. My bike is still light enough to transport on our bike rack and I have the renewed confidence to cycle anywhere I choose!

Thank you, Swtch Bike, for your product. I love my bike, and I love being able to keep it and have an assist, the Swytch Motor, getting me where I need to go. I am getting older and can't ride like I used to, but with a little help from the battery, I feel like I can. I do wish I could get the max speed up to our state regulations, but I'm still happy for what it does. Everytime I had a question or a problem (generally it was my fault) someone answered me so fast and helped me understand what to do. Great product! I've had it for over half a year.
