I often trigger the sidebar accidentally. The problem is there is no delay so it shows immediately.

It would be nice to use a delay to avoid this issue.

(I know I can turn the hover effect off, that is not what I'm referring to.)

We added a small delay in 7.3. Please take a look and let us know what you think.

Thanks.

I upgraded and noticed a small delay. If I move quickly over the widget, it doesn't popup. But it still pops up from time to time. Can I set the delay's value somehow to longer? (I would use 750-1000)

There's a 100ms delay. We thought that would be sufficient for accident trigger. Maybe we should add an option for users to configure.

I appreciate that you added a delay... any delay. But 100ms is way too little. I'm sure many would disagree with me, so yes, a config option would be good.

(That said, 100ms is really short. When using multi-monitors and moving from one to the other, the popup is triggered very often.)
