I downloaded old version plugin 1.5.1.5285 from https://plugins.jetbrains.com/plugin/17718-github-copilot/versions. It works again! Hope it can help .

Update for Linux: plugin version 1.5.0.5148 works on Ubuntu (IntelliJ IDEA 2023.3.4).

Can't confirm issues mentioned by others above: Copilot Chat works for me as expected (for multiple consecutive questions, that is).

@Akash1134 even in the latest version (1.5.0.5148) there is no way to make Copilot repeat an attempt (no 'try again' button) when questions fail, and they do fail really often. I frequently get 40-60% of a response, then "Oops, no response has returned" error (or no response from the start).

And the workaround is not exactly convenient:

1. Scroll up until my question
2. Select it (using a mouse)
3. Copy
4. Delete the failed attempt (using a mouse)
5. Paste, Send
6. Another error? Go to 1.

Did you update the plugin ?

try Ctrl + Alt + S -> Keymaps -> Plugins -> GitHub Copilot is the only place to change key shortcuts

In Rider it also uses GPT3 and has no knowledge of GPT4

We use GPT-4. I understand the answer to this question is not what we do today and we would work on getting this fixed but we are on GPT-4.

Strongly agree. I like to separate paragraphs (and code) with single blank lines (i.e. 2 newlines). I've seen other tools provide an option to have Cmd-Enter submit so that Enter can be used to add newlines. I've been thinking for a while that would be really helpful here.

ERR_SSL_WRONG_VERSION_NUMBER seem to suggest there is a problem with the certificate being used.
If you know the URL copilot is using, you could try to inspect the certificate in the browser.
If you are on a corporate network or using a VPN, you could try using a mobile hotspot without a VPN to see if it works as expected there.

Same here, example of a question that is asked 3 times and I get the three answers in the same block, which makes it super hard to read.

It also break code blocks, as it uses "```" multiple times.
