• A self serve win is always a win! @eleftherias wanted to know if there was a way to allow users to install a GitHub app on a repository that they are an admin of. In the end, they found that if a GitHub App requests "Administration" permissions on a repository, then the app can only be installed by the owner of an organization.
• @spenserblack provided sound guidance on why requiring authentication to be able to view private images is always the best way to go in his answer to this post: Unable to display images in body of the release API response.
• @bewuethr taught us that, although you can’t use REST API to set user profile status, you can do so using GraphQL: How to use REST API to set user profile status?.

🗣️ Community Update: Achievements Are No Longer Available to Earn in the Community

We made the decision to disable the ability to earn Achievements in our Community in order to discourage users from participating in coordinated or inauthentic activity like rapid questions and answers in order to earn badges.
