• choose from which branch you want to deploy
• Try that see if it works

Hey, I would suggest save the latest code locally in your computer and then just delete the repo from github.
Once you do that you can again create a new repo with the old/previous name and upload the files into this repo and then publish this new repo.
The URL that github creates is based on what you name your repository.
