Hello. A complegte newb seeking advise / assistance here. I am responsible for maintaining an asp.net / c# code base for 3 people and was tasked with version control for the 3 people sharing the code base for us. I've been perusing the documentation and videos on YT and am still confused. :( I've setup Git account, linked it to VS - all good. I think I am even able to commit changes to the repository, but not every time. :( It seems sporradic. Also, inviting the other 2 team members to participate...do I just send them invites? (I've made repo private.) But then the documentation goes into "branches / shmanches".....I get easily confused, I guess. Look, all I want to do is fairly simple:
Maintain the code base between three developers. When someone makes a code change, it get's updated to Git and the users get notified and update their local repos with it. That's it. Could some kind sole give me (or point me to) a simple bullet list of what to do?
I am much obliged to anyone willing to assist. Thank you and good day.
