Starting Monday, March 6th, GitHub Education will transition some of its available support to the GitHub Education community.
This means that certain support inquiries will not be available when creating an Education support ticket. The support options being removed are those specifically asking for individual Global Campus application reviews and Global Campus application status updates. No other support inquiries will be affected at this time. We understand that our students and educators value quick and easy access to information, and we believe that this change will allow us to prioritize developing and improving resources, such as FAQs and video tutorials, that will help you to find answers to your questions and resolve issues on your own.
We are continuously improving our Global Campus verification process to provide clearer feedback for students and faculty on the status of their applications. However, we understand that some users may need extra guidance in addressing their rejection reasons. That’s why we have a dedicated GitHub Education Community Team, along with other helpful community members, ready to assist.
To receive helpful support from the community, we recommend users search for similar questions that have already been asked and read the documentation and FAQs thoroughly. In addition, we greatly appreciate feedback contributions to our documentation, as this helps enhance the information available to make it easier for all community members to find the answers they seek.
Here are some tips to make the most out of the community resources:
In the rare instances that a user requires explicit GitHub Education support, such as school information being incorrect, our dedicated GitHub Education Community Team will be able to assist.
If your question has not been asked yet, please feel free to post it in the GitHub Education Discussions. It’s important to include as much relevant information as you can, but please do not include or post images of personally identifiable information like your email or postal address.
While we understand that the transition to adopt more self-service content may initially cause some confusion, we are confident that it will ultimately provide a more efficient and effective support system, alongside our assisted support, for our users. Rest assured that we are here to assist you every step of the way on your GitHub Education journey! ⭐
