Hi, I'm Jeff and my passion is email.

While in college, I wrote my first real email program, Spruce. I dropped out of college a year later to join a software start-up called Ximian to work on the Evolution project which had the ambitious goal of bringing an Open Source Outlook clone to Linux. I learned a lot during my time there and wrote a library called GMime that made it possible for a number of Open Source C/C++ projects to read and write MIME messages.

Fast forward to 2013 when I began implementing my 2 most popular Open Source projects, MimeKit and MailKit. These projects bring support for MIME, SMTP, POP3 and IMAP to the .NET world, making it possible for thousands of .NET developers to finally have access to email capabilities. For free!
