This is required to apply the theme to the Steam Chat UI. Setting the patcher to run in the background will automatically patch the UI whenever Valve releases a new update for the Chat UI.

• Copy friends.custom.css to Steam/steamui or Steam/steamui/<custom-skin>

friends.custom.css can be customised to apply different styles to the theme. This customisation is performed in the that file

• Discord Theme
• Dark Theme
• Light Theme

• Discord status or dot status
• Border status (outline around the avatar)

• Round Avatar
• Square Avatar
• Squircle Avatar

• Glow Effects
• Shadows
• Blur

You can change the font used, either read the comment block in friends.custom.css or add something like the following:

  font-family: <Replace me with your font> !important;
}

Just make sure you either use a web safe font or one that is installed on your system
