Blank Page at Launch #4008
Comments
Hi, can you add the logs from the devtools (press Ctrl + Shift + I) console? In the meantime you may use an older version like 1.7.9, link also available on the official site. |

JFYI, Etcher 1.18.11 (the latest as of today) is still all blank on Windows-7 64 Home... If it is no longer supposed to be run on Windows-7 the installer should warn and refuse to install, rather than installing the application, which is broken / useless. |
Another data point on this strange issue. I had two versions of Rufus on my machine and an upgrade was offered that I declined because it wanted to remove my existing version, now both have vanished and I am weary of Rufus. So I try Balena/etcher again Here is the error from the Developer tools console, I learnt something new about snooping on JavaScript applications (press Ctrl + Shift + I), thank you @mcraa . This is above my pay grade but perhaps it will offer a clue to someone smarter than me. I downloaded earlier version balenaEtcher-Portable-1.6.0.exe as suggested by @z1ad and the GUI is visible. I have not done recent development and found out recently that pretty much all dev tools require 64bit OS. So I may have very old .NET and other libraries and toolchains on my machine, was hoping to do some development on the 64bit-linux install now under work. It seems to have flashed and verified the 32GB Kingston USB memory stick. =====
